Here is an opportunity
not to be missed. You start out by paddling across the
glacier-polished granite-walled Carr Lake where the
wildflower display on the nearby former glacial moraine
will delight your senses. At the end of the lake, you
do a short, easy portage to Feeley Lake which is unreachable
by car. Ahhhh, real seclusion. Some paddle dips
later you arrive at our campsite under the pines where
you have the option of fishing, hiking the ridge to
view the forested range surrounding the South and Middle
Yuba Rivers, swimming in the crystal clear lake, or
basking in the quiet and serenity of the area. At 6600
feet, you can breathe deep and relax.
