The National Marine Sanctuary encompasses most of Monterey Bay and Elkhorn Slough. We offer regular trips to Elkhorn, which is a 7 mile saltwater ecosystem that is teeming with sea otters, harbor seals, pelicans, shorebirds and other unique wildlife. Other outings in the Sanctuary include kelp-bed and occasional coastal tours. Watch for ever-expanding schedules for our outings in this remarkable area. Owner Dan Crandall and several other instructors for the Calm Water and Sea Kayaking programs are from the Monterey Bay Area and have been paddling, guiding and exploring the area for over 12 years. This area has a special and lasting place in their hearts.
