Panama
Spectacular
rainforest paddling and unspoiled Latin American culture,
friendly people and beautiful rivers characterize Panama.
Boquette, in the Chiriqui province bordering Costa Rica,
will be our base. Boquette, a small valley surrounded
by mountain peaks (including the dominant form of Volcan
Baru), has the rio Caldera flowing right through town
and is central to most of the known paddling in Panama.
Both the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Ocean are within
easy access.
Class II+ to class III skills are all that is required
for our second trip. We dip into class III to
class IV water on our first trip.
