Colleen, Co, McKinnon has been Office Manager for Current Adventures since its inception 10 years ago. She is the hardworking behind-the-scenes, keep-everything-running-smoothly force of the company. She grew up in West Sacramento, but now ecstatically calls a forested 10 acres in Garden Valley home. The travel opportunities with clients ("Current Adventures has the best!" claims she), friends and family are what attract her to the rivers, lakes and seas across the globe. Co has, through traveling with Current Adventures, made lasting friendships all over the world. The Pacuare River in Costa Rica and its tropical rainforests, major whitewater stretches and dreamlike views make that river her favorite. Her passion for Costa Rica and its rivers runs deep, but the most exotic place she has paddled is the North Sea in Northern Scotland. Her favorite off-water activity is beach combing and she easily has the world's largest seashell collection. She also enjoys yard work and claims that raking is good for the soul! Colleen joyfully speaks of her two grown children, Matt, 24, and Lexie, 22, and is proud of the people they are and loves sharing in their lives.
