Dan Crandall

Dan Crandall, owner and founder of Current Adventures, was hooked the first time he picked up a paddle. His passion for kayaking has since guided his life. For 12 years he has been on the US Surf Kayak Team where he became High Performance National Champion. Kayak polo, a fast-paced mix of water polo and kayaking, also thrills Dan and he was a key player when his team won the Kayak Polo National Championships.
Most importantly, he has run kayak schools in Central California for over 13 years. "I love the traveling it affords me and I get a particular thrill out of seeing students of our school reach their true potential and confidence level when they go on trips such as Costa Rica or the Grand Canyon with us" says Dan. Despite his fiery, redheaded and bearded, Viking-like appearance, everyone who knows Dan knows he is a pussycat at heart. Just don't tell him we said so.
