The
Colorado River through the Grand Canyon is the river trip that has
most profoundly affected Denise. Being deep in the earth, walled
by a 3000 foot canyon and a history equally mighty, paddling the
impressive waters of the Colorado, sharing laughter and quiet with
kayaking companions was a fantastic journey. Traveling has long
been a passion of hers, including backpacking through Sri Lanka,
Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Europe and Alaska. She
aspires to someday soon explore New Zealand from her kayak. When
not teaching or doing web design for Current Adventures, she and
her dog, Haley, mountain bike, read (Haley loves The Cat in the
Hat), cruise California's rivers and plan the next adventure. Back to Main Staff Page |
