Gigi
began her whitewater career as a raft guide in Oregon and then Ecuador.
That led into safety kayaking for trips in Chile and elsewhere.
Now, she teaches kayaking for Current Adventures and seeks adventures
of her own-anywhere overseas, fun and cheap! Particularly compelling
for her is the focus that must be achieved when negotiating big
rapids and technical drops. As for future paddling destinations,
Gigi hopes to dip a paddle into some New Zealand and Nepalese waters.
While she's there, she might just do a little scuba diving, rock
climbing, and hiking, a few of her other passions. Gigi loves seeing
her past students ripping it up in holes and feeling confident on
their own. Teaching kayaking is something she plans to do for a
