Jason's home, his truck, overflows with his sixteen years of accumulated paddling gear. The contrast between the peace and serenity of the river and the rush of its rapids is what Jason loves about kayaking. The magical sensation of being able to play with one of the most powerful elements of nature arouses the long lasting river running passion in him. His favorite places to paddle are ever changing, but currently he is fascinated with the waters of Central America. A bit south of there lies Chile's Futaleufu, the river that offers him the most memorable paddling experience of his life. Jason competes on the pro freestyle and slalom circuits as well as specializing in Playboating Clinics for Current Adventures. He enjoys "demystifying" the art of kayaking and loves the look of excitement on the faces of his students when they "get it".
