Patti, who is embarking on her 5th year teaching for Current Adventures, was born and raised right on the South Fork of the American River in the Coloma/Lotus area. The South Fork, her home river, remains her favorite, but she has traveled the worldwide enjoying the scenery, huge ledge holes and big water that rivers in places like Costa Rica, New Zealand and Chile offer. The fun, the challenge and the opportunity to paddle with friends and family are the elements that attract Patti to kayaking. When not on the river, she plays tennis, skies, jogs and travels. At 61 years old, Patti tires even the most gung-ho teenage students in her classes. And her playful spirit and love of life inspire all who meet her. Just try to keep up with her. We double-dog-dare you.
